Right on the heels of Sony and Samsung announcing new mobile handsets – mostly without pricing or availabilityMicrosoft has also shown its hand, announcing two offerings that are set to join the Redmond, WA firm’s popular ‘Nokia Lumia’ line-up.

The Lumia 730 and Lumia 735 are both considered to be aiming for the “budget” smartphone market. Priced at just $262 and $288, respectively, the handsets will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor, and feature a 4.7-inch “Super Sensitive” Touch HD OLED display.

Designed for “taking selfies” – (we’re serious) – the higher of the two models, which also supports 4G/LTE connectivity, carries with it both a 6.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 8GB of internal storage. You’ll also find full wireless charging support and 1GB RAM.

Those who purchase either model will receive 15GB of OneDrive cloud storage for their self shots, and other media, and this storage capacity is of course expandable through the use of micro SD, up to a whopping 128 GB.

Both models will start shipping, this month.
