Pegatron Employee Leaks Shot Of Charging “iPhone 5C” Units? – [PHOTO]

There is a purported photo making the rounds, this morning, that claims to show a bunch of “next-generation iPhone” units in a charging state.

Thought to be the “iPhone 5C,” the photo was (allegedly) shared by one of Pegatron Corp‘s own quality control employees, and appears to show the system by which iPhone units are tested for their ‘charging efficiency,’ before they are sent down the production line for further testing.

For those who are not already familiar with the company, Pegatron is a Taiwan-based electronics manufacturing firm that mainly develops computing, communications and consumer electronics, in accordance with orders placed by its branded vendors. However, from time-to-time, the company may also engage in the development, design and manufacturing of other computer peripherals and components.

Engadget, who was the first to come across the (purported) photo originally shared via Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo, says that the shot was also accompanied by the following quote. Interestingly, the person who posted the photo appears to suggest — (with some degree of “certainty”) — that this is Apple’s long-fabled “low-cost” iPhone, which may become available for those in China, this September.

“The low-end iPhone 5C to be launched for Chinese consumers in September doesn’t look much different than the Xiaomi Phone 2, right?”

The report follows on from the alleged leaking of another photo, (seen above), which this time claimed to pertain to the production of the packaging for Apple’s “low-cost” iPhone, and which originally surfaced back in July.

The “iPhone 5C” – (if it is to be officially referred to as such) – is now expected to join the “iPhone 5S” for its public introduction at Apple’s next media presser, which is reportedly set for the morning of September 10.
