The Wimbledon Championships are back — and, this year, you can keep up with all the action on either your iPhone or iPad using the official iOS apps.
Taking advantage of an interactive ‘drop pin’ interface, using the app you’ll be able to see live scores from the matches you most care about, alongside see a daily schedule of play so you know exactly when to tune-in, or which court head to if you happen to be at the event yourself.
You’ll also have access to Player profiles, allowing you to learn more about each player involved in the tournament, match draws, and you can even tune into a live-blog of the events happening at Wimbledon and The All England Lawn Tennis Club, with live video programmes such as: Championships coverage plus regular live match action, also accessible via the app.
Meanwhile, heading to the app’s ‘radio’ section will see you able to keep up with the goings-on via live commentary of match events. The app also includes daily live coverage of The Championships and two channels dedicated to both Centre Court and Court No.1, with on-demand video previews, highlights, features, interviews and golden moments also available.
Photos from the event are available for viewing in an easy to use ‘gallery’ mode, as are ‘3D’ interactive tour videos of the Winner’s Walk and inside the Wimbledon Tennis Club — really ensuring you feel like you’re there. Favourite player performance alerts you see you able to keep right up-to-date with how your favourite is performing on a per day basis, while “Find It” – lets spectators who are at the event locate facilities around the grounds at Wimbledon.
The perfect digital companions to this summer’s Wimbledon experience, (and just updated with more features for favourite player performance alerts, fan feedback, live blog, and the Wimbledon digital shop), both Wimbledon Championships for iPhone and Wimbledon Championships for iPad are FREE downloads from the iTunes App Store.
